Hello

What a road trip it was, mostly for what might have been...

Ah well it's over and Raymond James should be filled to capacity with crows.

Congratulations to tbf for winning last week's contest.

We won't have any Ravens fans coming by so I won't bother with the usual rules, you all know what to do.

------------------------------

For that thread in the other forum on the season points race with its very different scoring, from this week on any poster who is listed in the score spread at game time under "none" will get a -0.25 point penalty for the season.  Since by definition those people aren't competing in that contest, it's really a formality but there it is.

Those points are updated by the way, NanoBuc continues to lead by virtue of his two wins in weeks 1 and 2 and fairly steady scoring since.

------------------------------

Now, to begin this week's contest.

I haven't scouted the Ravens so I'll probably change this prediction later but the thread has to begin somewhere.

Tampa Bay 24

Baltimore 20

Your turn.

I have been way off every single time. Hopefully I'll at least get to wear the bizarro sig this time.

Ravens - 24

Bucs - 31

I'd rather you wore the winner's sig, since you have the Bucs winning!

24-20 Ravens. The Ravens looked like *** against the Colts.. but they can play defense and the Bucs don't even try to.

wow - some of you making predictions without even knowing who's available for the game - will Evans/Foster play? Who on the Ravens will be out?

In my experience more information is excellent for guessing a point spread, but it is so hard to predict the exact score (it HAS happened BTW), that to most people their wild guess will do as well as an informed one.

I agree with Morgan. I find it a bit amusing to see all the morning after/knee-jerk predictions. I also disagree that waiting is only good for guessing a point spread. When a team is missing key players, it isn't just point spreads that are affected. It can also mean the difference between a win and a loss. I believe, for example, if we had Foster yesterday, the defense would have fared much better vs their run game. Was it the difference between winning and losing? Perhaps not, but it very well may have been. So, as usual, I'll hold off till Wednesday/Thursday to make my prediction.
