Voluntary Mini Camp

I'm wondering who the mystery man that didn't show up was. When I first heard of it, the name that came to mind first was Winslow. But then I remembered the first tweet I saw on minicamp said Winslow was there. Of all the pics and vids I've seen so far, I haven't noticed Mike Williams yet. I hope he wasn't the no-show....

I didn't see Bowers in any of the 60+ photos I've seen...

Bowers tweeted about minicamp, so I'm guessing he was there.

The popular pick is starting to turn into Briscoe, but who knows.

This is the only group pic of the WRs I saw anywhere:

Can't tell who the two on the opposite side are, although I'm guessing it's VJ and MW.

You can clearly see from left to right...Benn, Gant, Webber and Parker. There are three unknown WRs in that pic. The one next to Parker appears to be Mike Williams. The sticker on his helmet looks to stay M.Williams, but isn't totally visible. The other unknown can be seen by his helmet between Benn and Gant. That is more than likely V-Jax because he is so tall. Another unknown player is next to Benn as you can see his legs next to him, but there is no way of telling who that is. But we do know Sammie Stroughter was at minicamp, so chances are it was him. That pic shows seven WRs, we have eight on the roster.

Most people believe Briscoe is the missing man, and this pic doesn't confirm it, but it certainly raises eyebrows to that theory.

This is certainly the most 'feel good' offseason in a long, long while.

I haven't been following the Bucs as much recently with the terrible end to the season, the offseason, and the Pacers doing well,, but seeing some pictures renew my excitement.

Man this offseason is exciting. It's like a drean come true. The Damn owners finally showed they cared a little. We finaly have a real hear coach in here who's bringing discipline to our young team. We added 2 of the best players in FA and we have a nice position in the draft.

My Bucs passion-mater is back to 100%

It's Briscoe......apparently he cheated on his gf with his baby mama.....

I've been a huge Briscoe supporter since we picked him up but cut him....there is no acceptable reason to miss the first camp WITHOUT INFORMING THE HEAD COACH.....give the spot to someone like Gant or Webber....

He's still not making a good impression on coach Schiano....he will be our 5th WR even if he makes the team...

I see lots of talent in the kid, he could be a stud somewhere else.

WR Dez Briscoe was absent from minicamp Tues., but appeared in taped episode last night of VH1's NBA wives with Royce Reed.

Does Stroud honestly not understand how taped television programs work?

Bye-bye Briscoe. Nice knowing you. Coach will make yet another example I think. I know I would if I were him.

Thanks again.

Do we know of a concrete reason he wasn't there? Or are we jumping to the conclusion that he's a lazy pile of crap?

Get a grip

I could be wrong, but isn't closing your eyes a good way to muff the punt?

Last year without pads.

To me it looks like he slimmed down a tad. I could be wrong though :P

I really enjoy that Schiano appears to be going at the Practice Drills with Military Precision...That is definitely a way to get results, and a something I wish more NFL coaches did. If you really want to reveal someone's character, mental toughness, and thought process...but them through Team-based Military drills...like those used for the US Engineers Corp. Everything has to be precise, and on time. Its very complex.

One thing that will be interested in the coming months...

Watch for Safety Devin Holland to make a splash. From what Ive seen and heard buzzing around OBP, DB Coach Ron Cooper was spending alot of time with Holland during the Safety Drills and around the facility and will be the main competition for Cody Grimm for Starting Strong Safety.

Cooper was reported to be impressed with Devin Holland when they faced off 2 years ago back during the LSU Vs McNeese State game (LSU won by alot), but Devin Holland locked down the entire right side of the field and during their scoring drives, LSU would always run the ball to the left side, away from Holland.

Should be interesting.

Dezmon Briscoe has been a no-show for the first two days of Buccaneers voluntary workouts.

We don't understand the details because we don't watch "Basketball Wives," but there is a story on the internet about Briscoe that can be easily accessed via a Google search. It appears he's having personal problems. Regardless, the absence and unnecessary notoriety is unlikely to go over well with the Buccaneers' new coaching staff. Briscoe is not a lock to make the Bucs' roster.
